The goal of DNA GeoSet is for everyone to have access to his genetic information from anywhere in the world with a device connected to the Internet to share it with your trusted healthcare professional. To do this, we have developed a platform that stores, interprets and updates Genetic information.
At DNA GeoSet we do large-scale genotyping for relevant clinical information, so we use the Global Screening Array (GSA chip) that contains more than 650,000 markers. In addition, it is customized with more than 5,000 simple nucleotide polymorphisms or SNPs. While it is true that as technology advances we will use broader genotyping chips or mass sequencing, the technology used allows us to extract great information at an appropriate price.
From DNA GeoSet we will support the previous versions of chip used and will reflect the version of chip used in the private area.
If you want to update the chip version, please contact us by email at
email@example.com and we will provide you with the most accurate price possible so that you get the information update.
CONDITIONS OF REPETITION OF SAMPLES AND OBTAINING RESULTS
DNA GeoSet is committed to delivering the results to all users.
In most cases a single sample of saliva is sufficient to obtain the results. However, sometimes it is necessary to obtain a new sample because the concentration of the DNA obtained and / or the quality of it is low and doesn’t meet the minimum quality criteria to provide reliable results.
It is usually due to incorrect sample taking or problems obtaining it (dryness, infections, use of medications or various pathologies).
If results aren’t obtained with the first extraction and genotyping process, DNA GeoSet offers a free opportunity to repeat the sample taking, the extraction of DNA and subsequent analysis in the Illumina® genotyping array.
If once the process is repeated it is not possible to obtain the results due to insufficient DNA concentration: it has the possibility of repeating the sample taking, DNA extraction and analysis for an additional cost of $ 30 (shipping costs included). Otherwise, you must request a refund and you will be charged $ 30 corresponding to the cost of the kit for taking the sample.
If once the process is repeated it is not possible to obtain the results due to insufficient DNA quality: you can repeat the sample taking, DNA extraction and the analysis after the payment of $ 130 (shipping costs included). Otherwise, you must request the return and you will be refunded the full amount minus the $ 130 corresponding to the cost of the kit for taking the sample and the genotyping array.
The fact of repeating the sample, extracting the DNA and analyzing it a third time doesn’t guarantee that the results will be satisfactory. There are exceptional cases, in which it is not possible to obtain results from oral saliva / swab samples and a blood sample must be taken. DNA GeoSet does not offer the blood collection service.
Minimum criteria for sample quality
- Greater concentration of DNA obtained: 60-70 ng / ul
- Quality of the obtained sample: Call rate> 0.99
